Can't Shutdown

I installed Macaffe VirusScan and Firewall. Since then, my computer (PC)
won't completely chut down. The process starts, then hangs up. I have to
unplug the power cord to complete shutdown.

I have rolled back the computer to earlier dates, to no avail. What do I
need to do, or reload to fix this problem?
