Every time I try to get to System Restore, I get an error (Typed below).
Anyone have any ideas.
Error Message:  An exception occurred while trying to run
“C:\Windows\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL
“C:\Windows\system32\sysdm.cpl”,System”

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Errol,

One or more of the System Restore files may have become corrupted. See if
reinstalling System Restore helpsto resolve the problem.

Open Windows Explorer or My Computer, ensure that Tools>Folder Options>View
is set to Show hidden files and folders, navigate to the inf folder. Locate
the sr.inf file, right-click on it and then select Install.

Thanks Patti for the response.  I did what you suggested, but still had to
tell it where the update files were, then had to use my XP original disk for
a file that was missing.  Up and running now.
Thanks
