How to get Hotfix 890582?

Hi,

After over a year of stalling and dreading it, I installed SP2 today.
Despite taking all precautions, still had problems after install.  Main
symptom is that the CPU stays pegged at 100% immediately from boot-up and
never stops.  Makes whole system practically non-responsive.

Microsoft says they have a hotfix, but I'm not sure how to get it.
Inconvenient for me to spend a lot of time to get to them due to business
travel now.  Can anyone tell me how to easily download only this one hotfix?

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=890582

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Instructions on how to obtain the hotfix are clearly explained on that page
(there is no download):

To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support
Services to obtain the hotfix. For a complete list of Microsoft Product
Support Services telephone numbers and information about support costs,
visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support
(http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/?ws=support)
Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question.

I was a bit confused as well. I was expecting a download, considering all
the info on the page describing how to use the hotfix. It threw me.

The link on the KB890582 page doesn't work... goes to a dead page.

Naturally support hours in the evening are spotty.
