I recently have changed from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows XP
Professional and now I have no sound at all. When I place in a music CD it
gives me the error:

"Cannot play back the audio stream: no audio hardware is available, or the
hardware is not responding".

Please help me figure out what the problem may be.

Thanks

I would suggest you reinstall the drivers for your sound card.
They may be on a CD that was included with your computer. You
can also check the manufacturer's web site. Look for a Support
section.

Good luck
