Since installing several security updates & SP2 last October, I have
experienced systems hangs with cursor. This happens with wired Logitech
mouse, MS wireless mouse & pointer "stick" on IBM Thinkpad. Initially hangs
occurred on left 1/3 of screen when browsing web pages. Now they occur
randomly on the screen when viewing web pages or Word & Excel documents. Any
suggestions? Thinkpad came with W2000. I upgraded to Win XP in 2004.

Is there any drivers on for the Logitech or Microsoft mice?

Also, does it happen if using the touchpad, or any other pointing devices
built into the laptop?

> tw I installed Logitech mouse with driver in 2003. I purchased MS wireless mouse when I started having the system hangs. The MS mouse driver was in the Win XP. The problem also occurs with the pointer stick on the laptop. The stick is a red "eraser" on the keyboard similar to the eraser Toshiba uses. System hangs every 5-10 minutes if I am using the mouse or pointer a lot.
