It was working yesterday and it now says it is missing or corrupt. Also I cannot restore my PC to an earlier date as the restore option will not load Can anyone Help Hi Jen, See if the information in this MSKB article helps you to resolve the problem: CD-ROM access is missing and messages cite error code 31, code 32, code 19, code 39, or code 41 after you remove Easy CD Creator in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us (please note that although the article references Easy CD Creator, there are other third-party software packages that will cause the same "problem" to occur). My restore shot craps also...I did a clean install: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html This is happening to me and I have VISTA. I have called Best Buy Geek Squad, HP Support AND Microsoft and NO ONE knows what to do!!! Please...someone help me get my cd rom & dvd drive back!!!
