An Internal Windows XP in IBM Computer

I do not nor did I have disks when I received the Windows XP IBM computer
which was bought brand new from the box....I have had to "format" the system
back to complete clean out.....use to be format c: in the old dos system.
However, as I stated I do not have disks in order to reboot back to a clean
computer. I cannot remember the "F" key that is needed. I have pressed F1,
F12, F8 and none format the system back to the beginning.

If someone with some knowledge actually knows....not thinks they know I
would love an answer.

What exactly you done?, did you format the partition from inside windows?.
When you saying you don't have Disks came with the computer on what bases
you are formatting?, do you have a new full retail XP CD?.
F1 or F11 to access the recovery console and recover to the factory
settings, I thing this what you mean by "F".
If you have the Recovery folder on a Hidden partition then you can perform
this and Recover/restore to factory setting, if you don't have this feature
implemented by IBM/Vendor and you wiped out your partition then you are in a
loose!.
Formatting mean, wiping out the complete Data on that particular Partition
that include User data, applications, System Data ( which Operating system
file needed for the System to operate).
Please if you still need more write back with the exact steps you taken to
format your C:\, what you see on the Boot Up screen, are you able to log into
safe Mode.

You need to write down the Model Number and serial number off your computer.
Then call IBM/Lenovo and tell them you need the Repair CDs for your machine.
Explain how you lost the Repair Partition due to formatting. There may be a
charge for the CDs but they will get you back to the way the computer was
when you first received it. Next you'll want to get the updated drivers over
the Internet and also anw Windows updates.
