hi,

i've done a fresh install of winxp home, after loading all motherboard
drivers, sound card, graphics etc and programs it takes over a minute to get
into a workable state.

i've removed all addtional startup items from msconfig but it makes no
noticeable difference at all.

My main concern is that i ran bootvis to check what was happening and
explorer.exe does not start until 30 seconds into the boot process.

has anyone any ideas ?

thanks very much.
