Hi,

I have just added RAM to my PC increasing in from 2gb to 3gb.  However I
have a problem when I right click on my computer select properties I am only
being shown 2GB not 3GB as it should be.

Is windows recognising 3GB?  If not is there anything I need to do to pick
up the additional RAM?

Any help appeciated.

Thanks,
Jo

Windows will recognize up to 4Gb of RAM.

When the system is booting - can you see the memory counting? Up to?

Have you checked how much memory does your motherboard hold?  Mine can only
hold 2 gb so if I install more than 2gb of ram the system will not see it.
Hope this helps.
