Are you referring to the browsing history in Internet Explorer?

How many days is it set to retain? Tools, Internet Options, General,
Browsing History, Settings.

Also Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, scroll down to the Security
section and see if "Empty Temporary Internet files folder when broweser
is closed" has been checked.

Hope  this helps.
