"A dynamic Link Library (DLL) initialization routine failed" I receive this
message everytime windows XP starts up, the file is present in C:\i386
C:\Windows C:\windows\system32 and c:\windows\creative\SBAudigy\win2K_xp

What does this error mean, how do I fix it?

Thanks

The Creative Filter AudioControlMB Module is part of your Audigy sound
card software. If reinstalling the software doesn't solve the problem
(you may have to uninstall it first) you should contact Creative
technical support.

I have also got this problem with the dll file
I recently updated RealPlayer - has this caused the problem ? I don't know
if I am using Audigy sound card softward.  I also updated my antivirus
software. Cannot one just replace the dll file with an uncorrupted one ?

We need to see the Error Report from your computer.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer. When researching the meaning
of the error, information regarding Event ID, Source and Description
are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427/en-us

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

Are there any yellow question marks in Device Manager? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties,
Hardware,Device Manager. If yes what is the Device Error code?

Hope  this helps.

I do not think the Error Report relates to your problem.

I would uninstall and reinstall the software relating to your Audigy
Sound Card.
