The restore facility is now working in the last checkpoint. The other problem
has still not been resolved, that being the Reload disc supplied by computer
manufacturer to restore computer, at boot up, to factory settings including
Windows XP program. The following message appears (in yellow type) "This
software is licenced to your computer manufacturer" The next line says "
Unable to determine BIOS lock please contact your system manufacturer" (the
same manufacturer that has gone out of business!) Still need help to sort
BIOS lock. Anyone help please.

Recovery CDs are created by individual computer makers, not Microsoft.
For help with your recovery CD you need to contact the computer maker or
find a group that is familiar with your brand of computer.
In very general terms: You boot your computer from the CD and follow the
prompts.
