I can't seem to email pics--server bogs down each time I
try. Also, the photos are displayed at gargantuan size
within the emails. How can I fix both problems (which I
never had with W98, by the way; I have just installed XP).
Thanks for any help,
Maryanne

Maryanne ... first of all, your server is probably bogged down due to the
size of the photo, you should save your planned email photos as .jpg format
for minimum size.
Secondly, find the photo you plan on sending and rt-click ... you should see
'sendto' with the option of 'mail recipient.  That should then give you the
photo wizard for sending pictures via email with an option displayed to
'make all my pictures smaller'.  Make them small (fits in a 640 by 480
window).
If you don't get the wizard, type the following in Start, Run (without the
quotes) "REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL".  Note the space between the two.
If you want to send more than one photo, hold down the Control key and
select each photo individually.
If you still have problems, post back.
