I would like to have Explorer show Thumbnails for Kodak Photo CD format files (.pcd extension) It was a feature on my Win 98 machine and I really miss its absence in Win XP. Why is it no longer available? It worked fine in Win 98
Maybe someone could suggest a registry fix to force Explorer to show the
Thanks
Don't think you can force Explorer to view them. www.irfanview.com will open this
format, then you can save the file to another extension. Get the plug-ins... It is
free.

I wonder why Windows 98 showed them perfectly well....you would think Win XP would at least do the same
Irfanview is a great utility, but it does not display .pcd files correctly. They all look very dark and muddy. My old WIN98 machine showed them in their correct color space I guess and they looked the same when loaded into Photoshop or picture Publisher.
Just let Windows Xp convert them to a different format and you'll be
able to view those photo like in Windows 98 did. Go to My Computer. Then
go to Tool menu and click on Folder options. Then pick what format to
choose from and go down the change button and click on that format. When
done click OK button. You should be set and ready to view those photo OK.
