I have installed the software for a Sony digital
camcorder and a Canon digital camera.

My Windows XP home is re-installed (had been pre-
installed on the same new computer. I re-installed it
after a mistake i made that made me unable to use
windows). It seems to be working fine now, in all other
respects.

I mention this (the re-installing) because i've read
somewhere in the product specifications of the camera
(Canon Powershot A75) that i bought that the USB
interface worked only (?) on pre-installed Operating
Systems.

The rest of the software is installed correctly but the
computer never recognises the cameras.

Plus, in the System Management files, the make of my
cameras do not show up in the list of products that have
the Windows logo signature (wich indicates compatibility
of the devices drivers).

And of course they are not listed as new or other
hardware devices (or in any category).

What can i do to solve this?
