THe option used to come up to resize my photos when I was sending them through My Pictures.....it doesn't anymore....it only sends them the original size.......I am using Outlook just like before!!

Help, I would like that option to come back so I can use it!!

Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the opening textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...
This will take a few second to run and will bring this option back.

I'm having the same problem with E-mail resizing.  I tried this fix and it
did not work for me.  A friend of mine also tried it and was successful for
him.  Do you have any more suggestions that might be correct this problem.  I
really miss that quick Resize tool.  Thanks.

Does the new message pop up with
the full sized image attached?

When you run the command...do you
see the dialog box that says:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

As John Inzer asked, did you get the succeed message?
Until this is fixed properly you can resize images first and then in your
e-mail software you click on Insert>Picture>From file and select the smaller
files. Not as convenient but will get you out of a jam.

. To decrease the size of the file for e-mail, web publishing etc.

Go to this site and download the free Image Resizer. Exe file in one of your
folder.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Once in your folder, double click on it to install it.

Once installed, you right click on a photo file (or on a group of selected
photo files).

Click on Resize image on the opening menu.

A window will open, select the size you want.

New files will be added in your folder, same name as original file but with
the word (small) added.

The first time you use it, you may not see Resize image on the opening menu
after you right click on a photo file or if you see it and click on it, it
may not work.  If so, do the following:

Click on Run, click on Start and type the following in the textbox:

REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL

and press the Enter key.

Note that there is a space between  ...32 and SHI.

You should get a message after pressing the Enter key.

Thank you both very much for your advice.  Downloading the free Image Resizer
fixed the problem.

When I typed in REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL .... I did get a succeed mesesage but
still no resize.  But installing the imager resizer worked.  Thank you again.
