does the xp pro scanner and camera wizard have as much functionality as xp home, iv tried evrything suggested and even tried reinstalling xp and the wizard still doesnt open, when i open it through the control panel and rt click on the properties tab, in the events tab the box which says send to this application is empty Have you tried going to the scanner manufacturer's web page and read their support documents? Maybe an updated driver might be available.
