emailing pictures why do they change to ink when sent jpeg?

I sent a folder to a friend of pictures and he can't open it because it is  
(ink)? if you send a pic out of the folder it is jpg? what is (ink) and why
is it differant than the pictures inside that are jpg? and why can't he open
it? Thanks

LOL.

I think your friend mistyped it when he complained to you that your sent
picture folder has turn out to be "ink". What he most probably meant was
"LINK".

It would seem you just sent him a link to the picture folder and not the
actual pictures. To send the whole picture folder you should select all the
pictures and then dragging the selection into the emial window (assuming u
use outlook express?).
