If you have used or installed some music copying software, it may have taken
over your CD drive. To get it back for XP open My Computer and right click
on the CD drive and click on Properties. Click on the Recording tab and
check "Enable...." in the opening window.

I am also unable to copy "My Pictures" to a CD.  There is no recording tab.
When I try to copy to CD, a box comes up with Copy Here, Move here, Create
shortcut here or Cancel. Nothing happens. My "D" drive says it is not
accessible. Incorrect function.  Thanks.
