I have the same problem as Zimmerman
" Under picture tasks, when I click on Copy to CD, I get a white area with
Copy Here, Move Here, Create Shortcuts Here and Cancel. If I click on copy
here nothing happens and nothing is copied to the CD Burning folder. Why is
this? " The reply from Yves Alarie included clicking on the Recording tab in
the Properties window. My problem is I do not see this tab. The only tabs I
get are General, Autoplay, Hardware, and Sharing. I can, however, record
music files on the drive. Can you help please?

If you do not see the Recording tab, the software you use for recording
music is probably the culprit, preventing XP to record on this drive.
I don't know the software you use for recording music.
Open your music recording software, click on Help and About and see the
software version you have.
If it is Roxio, you need at least version 5.3. You can update from their
site.
If it is Nero, I don't know. Nero is now on something like 6.6 but I have
never used it so I don't know if you can update. If you are using something
else, I really cannot tell you anything but go to their site and try to
update to the latest version
Note that there is a difference between update (free) and upgrade ($)!

Personally I just use Windows Mediaplayer version 10.0. but there is also
Kazaa and Sharazaa on the PC. Could it be one of these?
