I was under the impression that the project file just contained the info as
to the location of the photos, and not actual photo files. This seems to be
in error. I recently made a photo story in which many of the photos needed
brightness/contrast adjustments. I went through the folder and adjusted the
photos. I can view the photos in Irfanview and they are all fine now.
However, when I run preview on the saved project file, the photos that were
dark before are still dark. Is the saved preview file different than the
project file or am I missing something else. I assumed it would use the
adjusted files. No, there are no copies in the folder where the project
photos are stored. I saved the adjusted files by over writing the originals.
So the preview operation must have saved some copies of them before the
adjustments.

Sorry, I think I know what happened, I had forgotten about the step where
the black border is removed in PS3. I guess the cropped pics would have to
be saved somewhere, so that would explain the question above...

No big deal, I'll just redo the whole thing with the fixed pics.

PhotoStory project files include the
source files.

Windows Movie Maker project files
do not include the source files.

Have a look at the following article:

You're welcome.

It's easy to mix them up...
