I just bought a new Canon sd750 and 4gb SanDick memory card - I went to check
the memory card and inserted it into my desktops reader slot and it wouldnt
load up - I then got my portable/take anywhere multi care reader and it
wouldnt acknowledge it either - the same for the card reader slot in my HP
printers.

Now I realize that the readers are all not big enough (through doing
research on the computer) - so I will go and buy a new reader that can read
up to 16gb because thats my new purchase (for a much bigger camera Nikon D80)
but I want to know how to i make the slots (card readers) that are installed
on my Vista and XPs to be able to read the new meory cards?  Is there a
download here inside the Micrsoft world of downloads?  Because I cant find
it!  HELP!  Would appreciate it!

I don't think that you can--they were designed to read SD cards,
but the new SDHC cards require new readers.

Since I don't use raw format for photos, I've been able to stay
with 2GB cards, the largest that meet the old SD standard.
