I can get my SD and CF cards to download with the Scanner and Camera Wizard
but it only works with the first card.  After that, the wizard will no
longer start and Windows does not seem to be aware that there is a different
card in the reader.  This started some time ago and I am very tired of
having to reboot to download a card.

I read somewhere bout RealPlayer causing this but I don't have it installed
(that I can tell).  I also read about a needed reset on autoplay but have
checked each "drive" in that reader to make sure autoplay is there for
pictures.

Help!

Just open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and "My computer"
and scroll down to your card reader.  Then double click it and
navigate to the DCIM directory and so on until you reach your photo
files.  Then select the ones you want (or "all") and drag and drop
them to the folder you want them in.

"We don't need no steenkin' wizards!"  ;-)

Scanner & Camera wizard is for scanners & cameras (amazingly!), an SD, CF or
whatever card is NOT a scanner or camera.
Which part of the words Scanner & Camera don't you understand?

Hiram get a life.

I have the same problem exactly with the wizard.
I have not spent any time trying to figure it out, it does not happen every
time,
but it is annoying when it does.  I use a different method when it gets hung.

If you open up "My Computer", move mouse pointer to the drive letter with the
SD?CF card in it, right click and pick "Autoplay". This should bring up the
same choices as when you plugged the card initially.
