Okay...
WindowsXP
Setup a shared printer to Okidata Pacemark printer.
Printed system.ini no problem
envoked the net use lpt1: \\comp_name\Ptr_Name and attempt to print...the
job seems to spool indefinately in the printer object in Windows.

The job never leaves the queue. "spooling local downlevel document"

Thoughts?

See http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/printfromdos.htm.  Sounds like you have
case 1, so using the net use command will indeed cause the print spooler
looping you describe.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
