I have installed printer via 25-pin/9-pin null modem cable to COM1.  Used
drivers from Epson website.  Can see printer as default in
>CP>Printers&Faxes.  When test page is sent to printer, absolutely no
response.  Test page in print queue disappears without manual cancellation.
Have tried this on both W2K and XP pro boxes with same lack of response.  Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

The spooler may not be activating.  Go here:
Start>Run>type NET START SPOOLER and press OK
Then try it again.

I'm no expert, but I did stay at
the Holiday Inn Express last night.
