printer problems

Can someone help me? My printer,a HP Deskjet 812c will print from a webpage,
but if I try to print while in Microsoft Works Word Processor or Notepad or
Wordpad all it does is spit out a n empty page Help!

I hope that you installed the drivers that came with the printer. If
not, here is the HP website for the driver.

I am not too sure why it can only print web pages and not regular
documents although it could do something with the printer language (PCL
or Postscript).

Also, here are some things you can do if it still prints blank pages.

1. In the Printer properties, go to the Advanced Tab and select the
option Print Directly to the Printer.
2. Unplug the printer from the PC. Hold down the paper feed button and
turn on the power to the printer. The printer should then go through
the self test process.
3. Click Start --> Control Panel --> System --> Advanced tab -->
in the Performance region, select Settings --> click Data Execute Tab
-->
then choose the option which says something like Windows Programs and
Services Only.
