My Microsoft fax freezes (in XP Pro SP2) when sending all the time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, with new cab files...nothing doing. I have a HP Scanjet that I use (i know, I've disabled the button manager), and usually fax directly from the scanner or Microsoft Word '03. I have to reboot. When I reach the XP logon screen my system freezes again. I have to reboot 5 times before my system will get past the logon screen. Nothing in the list of FAQs in the link below addresses this.
