I am trying to install a HP dj3651 on Windows XP.  I have
downloaded the correct driver from the HP web site.  I
follow instructions to connect printer and the OS finds
the correct new hardware. I work through the wizard and
get prompted for a file called USBPRINT.SYS.

I am thinking that the OS is not completely setup for the
printer install, but don't know where to do to resolve.
Am thinking that this driver needs to be loaded before I
can install the printer.

Any suggestions.  This is on a IBM thinkpad with Windows
XP Professional.

Thanks

The simplest might be to navigate to the Windows Update site and get all
service packs available. Next, try the install again making sure you do have
the Win XP driver.

Also, check in
c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386
for the file mentioned, usbprint.sys

Let us know.
