I have XP and 2 HP printers. neither will cancel print jobs. I have to shut
computer off and printers off and then maybe it will cancel print jobs and
maybe not. What can I do to cancel print jobs when I highlight printer and
print jobs and then hit "Cancel all print jobs". It does nothing. Is there an
easy way to get it to cancel print jobs. It looks as if the program intended
for the Cancel Print Jobs options to work but I have never known an HP
printer to actually do it every time.

Some printers spool the job with in printer memory. (Often the case with HP
laser printers sold for office use.)
If this is the case, the printer control panel might be able to stop
printing. All you can do with some printers is turn them off, and then see
if you can kill the spool files for the document.
