I run 4 computers all running windows xp SP2 fully updated. An Access 2003
data base is copied to all computers, there was no printing problems with the
4 computers untill a Lexmark x 1270 was installed on the laptop.

Now when trying to print either by the switchboard or from the report itself
an error message "there was a a problem retrieving printer info" etc appears.
The same message appears when trying to print a form. The other print jobs
work well, ie word, excel etc

XP and office 2003 have been reloaded and everything works fine untill the
lexmark is installed, I have downloaded new drivers from Lexmark but this
only crashes the printer.

I can see myself throwing the printer in the rubbish. Nearly forgot, if I
make a new report on the laptop, the printer will print it, however as the
database is rather large this is not an option

Is there any problems with the Lexmark printer beside in Access?

Is there any "hard" setting for the printer stored inside the Access database?
(Hard setting -- code to direct printing directly to a specific printer where
the Lexmark is just not the same.)
