How does one delete a virtual USB printer port?

I've used a Belkin USB-to-Parallel printer cable with my
HP 5MP printerl, but decided to go back to the parallel
cable after problems printing with the USB cable.  Now
there are two virtual USB printer ports (USB001, etc),
but the printer properties dialog returns the
message "Selected port cannot be deleted. The request is
not supported" when I attempt to delete them.

USB ports will only be deleted on reboot when the device is no longer
attached.  Did you add any software for the Belkin device?  Be sure to
uninstall if true.   Anyway the spooler can't delete the port, that is done
by the Plug and Play component.
