Any ideas? I'm having a problem & I do not know where to
go for an answer/fix or Help. My "latest" tech has left
here twice saying it was fix; it turns out it wasn't.
I'm trying to use Win XP & Outlook 2000 to fax from PC.
The problem is that a fax will go thru sometimes and not
others. I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software
problem; if the later, which software; I'm almost
100% convinced it is not the way the fax numbers are
entered.
In some cases it will send a fax to the 740 Area Code,
others it won't. For instance, I sent the same fax to
Portsmouth, OH, in 740 but it won't go to Delaware, OH,
also 740.
I sent myself a fax to 614 fax # and it went thru;
however, when I used the 800 fax#, I got the
response "There is no answer."
When I have used the PC to try to send a fax & got that
response the "no answer response" I then have use a
regular fax machine to send the same fax to the
same # and it went through.

You've posted more potential causes for your problems than anyone can
process. I would suggest you read about dialing rules here:

And the other intricacies of using Win XP Fax with Outlook here:
