You can roll back if you have chosen the option during installation. Go to
Add/Remove Programs and check if there is an entry for XP Sp2. If so, you
can click on the "Change/Remove" button to uninstall it.
To answer your original problem:
Try SP1 as originally suggested. The following

I am afraid I did not choose the option during
installation & as a result is not possible to roll back.
These web addresses did not work since I do have on my
computer Norton Antivirus 2003.
I disabled Norton Antivirus before installing Win XP SP2
but still fax monitor did not function.
