i have a home network of three computers. one computer
(win98) is connect to the 2wire home portal, the other
two (xp and winme) are connected through wireless shark
fins.  I cannot get my compaq ij600 printer (which is
connected to my win98) networked to the xp and winme. Any
suggestions?

Have you shared the Printer?

Can all PCs 'see' each other?  Are they all belonging to the same Workgroup?

Have you looked through Ron Pacciano's article at:

Maria:

There's deginitely something going on with Win XP printing
that MS isn't talking about. I have a similar setup. My
Win ME machine has the printer connected to it and prints
just fine (although recently it disappears from the
installed printer list - but that's probably a sympton).
However, when I try to print from my Win XP machine that
is networked via cat 5 cable (and can see and share files
and the the printer) it gives me the following error"
Cannot create a file when the file already exists" At
first I thought it was a networking error but the network
is working fine. I just don't know what the problem is and
don't want to try further troubleshooting. :(
