Hi all
I'm using "Xircom Cardbus Ethernet + 56K Modem" with on my Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop.  The dialup connection worked fine with XP Home.  I upgraded to XP Pro, then the dialup stopped working.  Digging into Microsoft Technet & all articles, I followed them all, but I still cann't make it work.  The modem is recognized OK in Device Manager.  I even tried to add a new connection, but the dialup modem part is grayed out.  All the Services (per Microsoft) are started correctly.  Help!

I'd try getting the latest XP drivers for the Xircom (assuming you have
another computer with an Internet connection available) and reinstall the
device.
