Windows Forum / Windows XP / Remote Desktop / February 2004Dialup worked @XP Home, but failed after upgrading to XP Pro
Hi all I'm using "Xircom Cardbus Ethernet + 56K Modem" with on my Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop. The dialup connection worked fine with XP Home. I upgraded to XP Pro, then the dialup stopped working. Digging into Microsoft Technet & all articles, I followed them all, but I still cann't make it work. The modem is recognized OK in Device Manager. I even tried to add a new connection, but the dialup modem part is grayed out. All the Services (per Microsoft) are started correctly. Help!
