I have a desktop PC running a 'server' via RD and since a reinstall of
windows, whenever I access my RD machine I have to click the 'connection bar
pushpin' to make it auto-hide.
I know I can remove the connection bar altogether but I do need it, and with
my previous setup the pushpin would remember its last position as the
default.
This is driving me crazy, its not important I know, just annoying.
So..... anyone know how to make my flippin' pushpin stay in the auto-hide
position?
Anyone who solves it gets a sticky bun.
:)

After reinstalling Windows, did you also reinstall whatever level of Service
packs had previously been installed?
I'd go for installing SP2 and all critical patches beyond that, myself.
The other thought that I had was blowing away default.RDP or whatever RDP
file you are using to initiate this connection, and reestablishing it.

Neil,
I would guess that this has to be a problem in the registry string
somewhere. The same things happen in Outlook 2000 after you install certain
security updates for Win2000. You might try contacting microsoft via free
email (where you find that I couldn't tell you) and I'd bet they have a link
just waiting to be sent to you.
