Hej ng

can anyone tell me how i switch to another account in win xp,when I am
controlling another pc.An example:I have been asked to help my friend  with
his pc.i connect to his pc through the internet because he asked for "remote
assistance".
it works fine ,but my friends account is a limited account.when i try to
connect to the administrator account on his pc,the connection to his pc cuts
off.
i have created a administrator account on his pc with the same username and
password, that i use to log on to my friends account.
I can also start remotely to log on  to my friends admin account, but then
the connection cuts off when i try to switch to his limited account.
Is it not possible to switch between accounts using win xp's "remote
assistance/control" program? also i like to know if it is possible if i use
the RDP funktion in xp?

Thankyu so far

best regagards , Kim

Why not log onto his PC with his limited user account the use "Run as" to
run programs as an administrator. Select the program, right-click on the
program and select run as.

I have tried that, but when I fx want to update a program, using "run as"
(admin),the insallalation program often stops and pops up with an
errormessage.
I know, that the errormessage can pop up ,because of many other problems. But
if there is a way  to remotely change between accounts, I could be sure that
it wasn't because access to some files where denied , or problematic

thankyou so far, Kim
