Remote desktop domain users

When I connect to an XP Pro machine that allows Remote Desktop, I use one of
the local accounts on that machine (at least the ones that have permission to
use RD). The problem arises when I try to connect to a machine in that
network that is a domain. Since the account in this domain is a roaming
profile, it only physically exists on the domain controller. Clearly, I do
not want domain users to connect to the DC and run their applications on the
DC! What is the solution for this? Do I have to pick a machine and create an
equivalent local user account there? But if I do that, then the user is local
not domain. Therefore as such, this user while using RD cannot access files
that have been permitted to its domain counterpart.

Add the user to  Remote Desktop Users group on the local machine or add the
group the user is in to the Remote Desktop Users group on the local machine.
Roaming or not - if the machine is a member of the domain - it has access to
the users and groups of the domain..
