 Found the fix  ;^)

 Here it is for all to see.

 Run regedit and verify the following key:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\Parameters
   Verify disablesavepassword is set to 0 and not 1.
