I think I am having a problem with my port 3389? I have a static IP set up
and have enabled remote desktop including remoing all firewalls. I can ping
my desktop, terminal services are running, and the TCP 3389 is listening, but
that is about it. Connection failed in the Telnet test and also failed in
the canyouseeme test. My IT guy said he doesn't have any firewalls on my
port. My IT guy uses Qwest DSL and a Linksys wireless G router. Is there
anything else I should be looking for. BTW, both my Desktop and lap top
computer have Windows XP pro...

Are you running any type of VPN client on the PC you want to access. I have
seen reports of a Cisco client blocking incoming RDP requests...

I presume you can access the PC using Remote Desktop from another PC on the
local LAN?

If the telnet test and the canyouseeme.org test fail and you can connect
from another local PC then it comes down to a firewall issue somewhere...

hi,
it seems you are behind a NAT router, so you in order to work you have to
forward the port 3389 from NAT router to your terminal server.
