My Grandson is in S Korea and I am in Louisana - USA. He wants me to keep a
backup of certain data and pictures that he will be taking for the year he
will be there.  I will be connecting and moving the files myself. To move the
files from his Laptop to my system which system will be setup with remote
desktop enabled and which will be the client.
Thanks

For Remote Desktop help see this page...

That might be a bit slow though...

You might look into setting up a SSH server on your PC and he can upload
files as needed. SSH is encrypted, safe and secure and quite easy to setup.
I recommend the copSSH server package and WinSCP a free SFTP program...

Lastly you could use YouSendIt to transfer large files, ie. 100 MB or so at
a time. That works pretty well in my experience...
