RDP and console

I thought I had read somewhere that it is possible to
make a connection to the remote 2000 Server or XP systems
console with XP's RDP. I thought this was by use of
a /console switch, but I can't find anything else nor
figure how to do it.

This would be for connecting to the remote hosts console
as if you were at the keyboard, rather than connecting to
one of the administrative terminal sessions.

Has anyone heard of this and if so, how is it done?

Thanks Terry. That pretty well explains it. Too bad it
only works with W2K3.

You can do this with the following command:

mstsc /v:servernameorip /console

This works with Win2K3 and XP machines (although the console session
is the only option with XP, thus it works by default).

You don't need to install the Adminpack to get this functionality.
