Remote desktop error

Hi

I am using XP mediacentre. I have setup one userid and password for one my
friend in uk to work on my pc. I have recreated remote desktop user for him
and setup him as member of administrator group and remote user group. But he
is getting following error.it is showing error...
STATUS:>      Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
        STATUS:>      Connected. Authenticating...
COMMAND:>    USER alex
        331 Enter PASS command
COMMAND:>    PASS *****
        530 User alex cannot log in.
ERROR:>       Not logged in.
ERROR:>       Can't login. Disconnecting...

Kindly advice how should i resolve this issue.
