Windows Forum / Windows XP / Remote Desktop / May 2008"Allow users to connect remotely" reg key
I assume there's a reg key to flip this RD setting, but I can't find it. Does someone know? Also, I'm looking for a comparison between VNC and RD...for a simple WiFi remote session, which has better performance? You can download a spread sheet that maps group policies to registry entries. These pertain to Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Professional, and Windows 2000. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=41dc179b-3328-4350-ade1 -c0d9289f09ef&DisplayLang=en I have always found Remote Desktop [RDC] to be faster than any flavor of VNC that I have tried. Of course that is a subjective analysis so as always YMMV...
