Packet Filtering on XP

Dear Newsgroup,

Please could you advise how I can enable/configure packet
filtering on Windows XP Home Edition.

My colleage had configured his over a year ago, but he
can't remember how he did it.

Please help.

If you are talking about ip filtering on the network adapter, it can be done as the
link provided by Carey but I would suggest you use the built in ICF firewall instead
that will offer better protection including udp traffic and some basic logging. If
you want more protection than that I suggest you look into one of the free for
personal use firewalls. Zone Alarm is good for novice users, and Sygate and Kerio are
great for more advanced users that have some knowledge of tcp/ip.   --- Steve
