I have XP home edition.  I was attempting to check my
settings in System Restore, but when I clicked on the
link to settings, I received a security warning from
MacAfee of "Suspicious Script" as follows:  "The script
is attempting to call the Run method within the
IWshshell3 object."  The file name given is rstrui.exe.
What does this mean, is it dangerous, if so, what do I
do, etc.  Thanks for any info.  PS I stopped the
scripting when this popped up.

Many viruses, worms, hijacks, etc infiltrate your system via scripts. When
you did what you did McAfee saw that a script was being run to accomplish
the task and told you so so that you could stop it or say it was ok.

The file RSTRUI.EXE is the System Restore Application so I'm assuming that
it was called into existance by an internal script when you opted to check
the settings.

Hope this helps.
