Using the Windows Task manager, I see the process
LSASS.exe. I have constantly had an adultfetish site take
over my browser; is this likely the cause? If not, where
would I look for it?
I also use Adaware, but it hasn't helped with the
adultfetish site.

You have a classic IE highjack. I suspect it’s buried in the reg in its own classid someplace. Adaware does not do well with high jacks, try Spybot.
Lsass.exe is ok, but I have seen a malicious process by a very similar name (so we don't see it).
