I am running Windows XP Prof on a laptop and am connected to other computers
on a network.  I am unable to share any of my folders, with the exception of
my "c drive" root folder - which I do not want to do.

When I rightclick a folder and select either "Sharing and Security" or
"Properties" absolutely nothing happens!  Can someone please tell me what I
need to do to fix this problem.  I do not have a password setup on my laptop
and my profile says I am an administrator.

If Internet Information Services is installed, remove and reinstall it from Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components.

Hi Doug

I missed your post earlier this month in reply to my cry for help regarding
the sharing of folders.  I reposted another (separate) query this morning
and someone
emailed me privately to say they were having the same problem and had come
across your post to me while searching for help themselves today.  So, I
must (1) apologise for not replying to you earlier, and (2) thank you
because I just did as you suggested and now I can share my folders!

Have a great day!!

Debbie :o)
