I don't no if this is the appropriate place to ask for
help, but if some one can help, it would be greatly
appreciated.  A porn site has taken over the home page of
my wife's business computer.  No matter what she or I do,
we can't regain control and get her home page to launch
when internet explorer is launched.  In each instance a
porn site with an address of
mk:@msitstore:c:\spe\start.chm::/start.html# pops up on
the monitor.  I have tried changing the home page default
setting to www.dell4me.com, clicked on "Apply" and "OK",
but the porn site comes back.  I tried adding it the
restricted list using this address, but it says "ypu've
entered an improper wildcard sequence." My wife runs
spybot and Ad-ware 6.0 to keep unsolicted junk off her
computer, but we don't know how to get this crap removed
for good.  We are trying fix this without having to pay
money. If this is not the correct forum for this, please
advise a correct website for help.

Thanks,

Corky

Here are a couple of things to try.  Get CWShredder, its a web browser hijack
removal tool that may help.

Also if you haven't already, try starting the Ad aware program in advanced
mode.  (Look in the start menu for it)  I can't remember the section off the
top of my head but poke around in the different sections and look for the
area that lets you reset your home page.

Good Luck!
