Did a asp.net user account come with the SP2 download. If not how do you
suppose it got on my computer and what can I do about the thing. I do not
like that it is there. Thanks

It is part of the .net framework that, as time goes by, more and more
programs need to operate. Yes you need it. If you have updated it through
Windows Update to .net SP1 then it wont even show on the Control Panel/User

No, it did not come with the SP2 installation, but with the
Net Framework v1.1 installation.
